Curenex Eye + PCL Mono Threads for Under Eye & Lip Rejuvenation

Treatment using Curenex Eye and Queen Threads PCL mono threads.
As I’ve gotten older and experienced midface volume changes, I’ve noticed increased hollowing under my eyes, deeper nasolabial folds, and changes around my vermillion border. In this treatment session, I combined Curenex Eye — a PDRN-based skin booster — with Queen Threads 30g 25mm PCL mono threads to help support collagen, hydration, and skin density around these delicate areas.

This post documents my personal experience, my mapping strategy, the healing process, and why I currently prefer 25mm PCL mono threads over shorter thread lengths.
WHAT IS CURENEX EYE?

Curenex Eye is a Korean under-eye skin booster formulated with polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN), often referred to as “salmon DNA.” PDRN is commonly used in aesthetic treatments focused on skin quality, hydration, and tissue support.
In this session, I used Curenex Eye around my under eyes to help target:
- Crepey skin
- Thin under-eye texture
- Fine lines
- Hollow appearance
- Overall skin quality
I personally notice temporary swelling and edema for the first few days after treatment, especially around the eyes, which I documented throughout this healing process.
WHY I USED PCL MONO THREADS AROUND MY LIPS

PCL thread mapping photo around the vermillion border
For this treatment I used:

- Queen Threads
- 30g needle
- 25mm PCL mono threads
- 20 total threads
I focused placement around:
- Vermillion border
- Nasolabial folds
- Outer eye area
My goal was not dramatic lifting, but instead subtle collagen support and structural reinforcement in areas where facial aging has created softness or deeper folds.
I currently find 25mm mono threads significantly easier to place compared to 12mm threads because:
- The tails anchor more reliably
- The needle length is easier to control
- The threads glide more smoothly
- It’s easier to maintain the correct plane during placement
MY FACE MAPPING SYSTEM

Photo of printed face mapping sheet inside binder
One of the most important habits I’ve developed is documenting every treatment session.
I print blank face mapping sheets and store them in a binder where I track:
- Treatment date
- Product used
- Placement locations
- Healing notes
- Follow-up observations
This makes it much easier to review past treatments and compare progress over time.

NUMBING + PREP PROCESS

Numbing cream application
Before treatment I:
- Washed my face thoroughly
- Dermarolled the treatment areas
- Applied topical lidocaine cream
- Covered sections with plastic wrap
- Allowed approximately one hour for numbing
Because the lips can be especially sensitive, I prefer deep numbing before placing threads around the vermillion border.

HEALING PROCESS + BRUISING

First morning following injections

The third day following the injections

Seventh day fully healed
One of the reasons I document these treatments is that healing is rarely shown honestly online.

In this session, I experienced:
- Significant bruising under one eye
- Temporary swelling
- Edema
- Mild bruising around the lips
Over the next several days:

- The swelling gradually improved
- Bruising migrated downward before fading

- LED therapy helped soothe the area Lumara LED Mask — $50 Off | Code: KAOS50 |
- Most visible bruising resolved within the week
- I also used the DermRays LASER Revive — $110 Off | Code: DRKAOS |

I also naturally heal fairly quickly, which may differ from other people’s recovery timelines.

FINAL THOUGHTS
This treatment approach was focused on skin quality, collagen support, and subtle structural reinforcement — not dramatic transformation.
Over time I’ve become increasingly focused on treatments that help support:
- Skin density
- Texture
- Collagen stimulation
- Long-term aging support
I hope documenting both the procedure and healing process helps give a more realistic look into what these treatments can actually involve.
