I Did a Full Skin Reset at Home… Dermaplaning + Chemical Peel + Tox Facial
If your skin has been looking dull, textured, rough, dehydrated, or just tired lately… sometimes the best thing you can do is a complete skin reset.

In this video, I combined three of my favorite treatments together:
- Dermaplaning
- A chemical peel
- A tox facial with microneedling

This combination helps smooth texture, brighten the skin, refine pores, improve product penetration, and create that ultra-glowy “glass skin” look over the next several days.

What I love about this approach is that each treatment builds on the next. Dermaplaning removes surface buildup and peach fuzz, the chemical peel helps resurface the skin more deeply, and the tox facial helps infuse hydrating and skin-supportive ingredients directly into the skin through microneedling.
This was my full at-home skin reset routine.
Why I Love Combining Treatments for a Full Skin Reset
One of the biggest mistakes people make in skincare is relying on only one treatment to solve every issue.
Skin texture, dehydration, dullness, congestion, and aging are all different concerns, which is why combination treatments can often create more noticeable results.
By strategically layering treatments together, you can target multiple concerns at once.
For this routine:
- Dermaplaning helped create a smoother canvas
- The chemical peel helped exfoliate and brighten
- The tox facial helped hydrate and refine the appearance of the skin
The goal was not perfection.
The goal was healthier-looking, smoother, glowier skin.

Step 1: Dermaplaning
I started this routine with dermaplaning.
Dermaplaning removes surface dead skin cells and peach fuzz using a sterile blade. I personally love doing this before a peel or microneedling session because it allows products to penetrate more evenly afterward.
It also instantly makes the skin feel smoother and can help makeup apply better.
When dermaplaning, I always:
- Work slowly
- Keep the skin taut
- Use light pressure
- Avoid aggressive scraping
This is one of my favorite prep steps before more advanced skincare treatments.

Step 2: Chemical Peel
Next, I applied a chemical peel to help exfoliate and resurface the skin.
Chemical peels help improve:
- Dullness
- Uneven texture
- Congestion
- Rough skin
- Overall skin clarity
I view peels as controlled exfoliation — not as a way to aggressively damage the skin.
One of the most important things with peels is respecting your skin barrier and understanding that consistency matters more than intensity.
Overdoing treatments can create irritation and inflammation, while strategic exfoliation can help support smoother, brighter-looking skin over time.

Step 3: My Tox Facial Recipe
Now for the tox facial.
This was the exact mixture I used for this treatment:
- 20 units Innotox
- 1 mL Hyaron
- 2 vials Professional Ling
- 3 mL PDRN Boost CH
I mixed everything together into one solution before microneedling it into my skin using my Dr. Pen M8S with a 36-pin cartridge.
The reason tox facials have become so popular is because they can help temporarily smooth and refine the appearance of the skin while also delivering hydrating ingredients at the same time.
The Innotox helps soften the appearance of texture and pores.
Hyaron is used for hydration support.
PDRN is commonly used in Korean skincare protocols focused on skin recovery and skin quality.
Professional Ling contains hyaluronic acid and copper peptides, which are popular ingredients in skin-supportive skincare routines.
Combined together, the goal of this treatment was hydration, glow, smoothness, and overall skin refinement.

Step 4: Microneedling the Tox Facial
Once the solution was mixed, I used my Dr. Pen M8S with a 36-pin cartridge to microneedle the mixture into my skin.
Microneedling creates controlled microchannels in the skin, which can help improve ingredient absorption while also supporting collagen stimulation.
For this treatment, I focused more on product infusion and even application rather than aggressive depth.
This is one of my favorite treatment combinations before events or when my skin is looking especially textured or dull because my skin typically looks:
- Smoother
- Glowier
- More hydrated
- More refined
over the next several days.

Immediate Post-Treatment Thoughts
Immediately after treatment, my skin was definitely red — which is completely expected after combining dermaplaning, a peel, and microneedling.
But this is also usually the stage where I know the glow is coming.
Over the next several days, I expect my skin to continue improving as everything heals.
This is why I personally love combining treatments strategically instead of relying on one single treatment.
Small, consistent treatments over time can create a huge difference in overall skin quality and texture.
Final Thoughts
This full skin reset routine combined exfoliation, resurfacing, hydration, and ingredient infusion all in one treatment session.
While everyone’s skin is different, I personally love how refreshed, smooth, and glowy my skin tends to look after treatments like this.

What are the benefits of dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning helps remove dead skin buildup and peach fuzz from the surface of the skin. Many people find that it helps makeup apply more smoothly and allows skincare products to penetrate more effectively.
What does microneedling do?
Microneedling creates controlled microchannels in the skin that can help support collagen production and improve ingredient absorption.
What is PDRN in skincare?
PDRN is a popular ingredient used in many Korean skincare and skin booster treatments focused on hydration, skin quality, and skin recovery support.
What is Hyaron used for?

Why combine dermaplaning, peels, and microneedling?
These treatments target different concerns. Dermaplaning helps smooth the surface, chemical peels help exfoliate deeper layers, and microneedling helps improve ingredient delivery and support collagen stimulation.
