CJC1295 + IPAMORELIN PEPTIDES

PEPTIDES

Peptide use focuses on cellular optimization.

As we age, we feel tired, forget where to put our keys, and gain weight. Physically, we notice wrinkles because we are creating less collagen as our cellular turnover slows down.

Kids have plump faces and lack wrinkles because their cells turn over and recycle quicker than in later years.

The goal of peptide use is to effectively turn back the clock by encouraging healthier cells to speed up cellular division as well as clean up old ineffective cells.

What happens to our cells as we age?

Senescence

Senescence is a process by which a cell ages and permanently stops dividing but does not die. Over time, large numbers of old (or senescent) cells can build up in the body’s tissues.

-Senescent Cells increase with age.

-Our cells become less efficient.

-Senescent cells accumulate and taint healthy cells.

-Reduces our ability to withstand stress and illness.

-Reduces ability to heal from injury.

-Learn new information as cognitive function degrades.

How do we change this cellular condition of Senescence?

In Dr. Seeds ““The Peptide Protocol Book,” he explains a global approach to encouraging cells to reenter the cell cycle, which is through the GH and IGF pathways. These pathways affect the production of growth hormones.

GHRH

Peptides that encourage the release of growth hormones are called growth Hormone-releasing hormones, known as GHRH.

CJC1295 is considered a GHRH. This peptide stimulates the release of human growth hormones.

GHRP

Another group of peptides that work on the Growth Hormone pathway are called Growith-Hormone Releasing Peptides. These are referred to as Ghrelin mimicking peptides.

What is Ghrelin?

Ghrelin is a multifaceted gut hormone that activates its receptor, the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHS-R). Ghrelin’s hallmark functions are its stimulatory effects on food intake, fat deposition, and growth hormone release. Ghrelin is famously known as the “hunger hormone.”

Ipamorelin

Ipamorelin is part of the peptide group that is a Ghrelin mimicking peptide.

When you combine these two peptides together, they provide a synergistic effect and work better in these pathways.

MY FIRST EXPERIENCE

I started using Ipamorelin 45 days ago. January 7, 2024.

It puts me to sleep, encouraging deeper sleep for a REM state. I have not dreamed in years, and with the use of Ipamorelin at night, I now have vivid dreams. I returned to lifting heavy in the gym this January, and after years of not lifting, I thought I would be incredibly sore. However, by using Ipamorelin at night five days per week, I recover quickly and never feel sore. At 42, I’ve never experienced a recovery like this ever, even when in my youth.

BENEFITS OF COMBINING CJC1295 + Ipamorelin

After reading the book “Peptide Handbook” and understanding the combined effects of Ipamorelin with CJC1295, I decided I wanted to add this to my protocol.

Peptides Half-Life

Peptides have very short half-lives, meaning they only have so much time to be effective at signaling before they die.

CJC1295 particularly only has a 30-minute window.

When combined with Ipamorelin, that life span is increased to 2 hours.

The combination works by increasing the blood level of hormones associated with growth. It can increase muscle mass and strength, decrease body fat, improve injury recovery time, and even improve sleep quality and cognitive function.

Our natural Growth Hormone spikes around 1 pm. It’s ideal to use this peptide combo between 6-8 pm to get a boost from these peptides immediately before your own natural spike.

NUTRITION

Many peptides in your system are not influenced by carbohydrates; however, the growth hormone-stimulating peptides are.

I’ve seen a lot of different opinions on the timing of use, from 1 hour after a meal up to 3 hours.

This is because the breakdown of glucose blocks the ability of these peptides to signal, thus making them ineffective.

In my opinion, the best route is only eating meat at night. Protein doesn’t blunt the peptide’s ability. If you are slower at processing food, waiting 2 hours after your last protein meal would be ideal.

Peptides are incredible if used correctly.

This combination is typically used at night as Ipamorelin can induce a tired sensation.

Do not eat after taking your dose.

You want it hit on a glucose-free empty system so it can be fully optimized.

THE PETIDE PODCAST This podcast is great because it covers a peptide concept in 4 Minute bites.

-OUTSIDE THE BOX Only 15 Minutes and a clinician explains what she sees in her patients and why she always prescribes this combination.

DEPENDENCY & CYCLING

No dependency or addiction is associated with peptide use. Unlike synthetic HGH, your body’s production is not interrupted. It’s only being amplified with the peptide use.

People cycle on and off peptides because they are costly and because you can reduce the sensitivity of your system to their effect over time, meaning you need to use more. Again costly.

This is again not shutting down your natural pathways when you become desensitized to their effect, but rather, like alcohol, you build up a tolerance. One glass of wine originally got you buzzed, and now you need a bottle to feel the same sensation.

Usually, people use this combination for 8-12 weeks and then cycle off for 2-3 months. When you cycle back on, your sensitivity to the peptides is diminished, and then you get the most impact from the money spent.

THE GOAL

To optimize our bodies, natural pathways of communication to our systems work better. Peptides aid in cellular turnover; this cleans up old cells that simply take up space and make us less efficient.

I’M NOT AN EXPERT

Remember, this is all new to me. I’m navigating this world of peptides and using them on myself. I want to spread the message of the impact I’ve already experienced and how hopeful I am as I learn about the many benefits. I am not an expert on peptides.  As I progress with knowledge, I will continue to share what I find.

I do my “WALKIE-TALKIE” Live chats on Wednesday mornings at 7:30 am PST (10:30 am EST). I plan to cover a new peptide or add to one already discussed as I use them, gain experience, and, of course, share what I’m noticing.

MY USE OF MOTS-C

As we discussed in last weeks “walkie-talkie” MOTS-c stands out because it communicates between the mitochondria and the nucleus. And it is encoded with mitochondrial DNA. Researchers have found the highest levels of MOTS-c in the young and the highest concentrations of this peptide inside skeletal muscle cells.

I started using MOTS-c this week, on February 9, 2024. The Protocol I’m trying is three days per week for two weeks. This peptide should help in cellular recycling, aid in fat loss, and boost mental cognition. I took my second dose of MOTS-c today, 2-21-24. I take this in the mornings.
